Last Saturday Stewart was honored by the Imperial Court of San Diego for his community service in support of DADT repeal (the plaque on the left). In addition he received recognition from the City of San Diego Human Relations Commission, again for his DADT efforts. It was quite the event, hundreds of people in attendance, and it was a fitting, very personal way to close the chapter on the DADT policy.
